Cart Planner started as a simple idea: grocery shopping shouldn't cause financial stress. We built the tool we wished we'd had.
Like most families, we found ourselves standing in the checkout line wondering how a "quick trip to the store" had ballooned into a $200 bill. Notes apps and paper lists weren't enough — we needed something that tracked prices in real time and warned us before we overspent.
Cart Planner was born out of that frustration. We wanted something dead simple: open it, add your items with prices, set a budget, and go shopping. No accounts, no ads, no subscriptions. Just a tool that works.

Cart Planner does not collect any personal information. The app runs entirely in your browser and uses your device's local storage to save your shopping list, budget, and categories. This data never leaves your device.
When you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide in order to respond to your inquiry. This information is used only to reply to you and is not shared with third parties.
Your shopping list data is saved using your browser's localStorage feature. This means:
Cart Planner does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics tools. We do not use advertising cookies of any kind.
Cart Planner uses Google Fonts to load typefaces. Google may log requests for font files — see Google's privacy policy for details. No other third-party services are used.
Cart Planner is designed for general family use and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Because the app collects no personal data in its core functionality, it is safe for all ages to use.
Because we don't collect your data, there is nothing for us to delete or provide. If you submitted a message via our contact form and would like that information removed, please email us at hello@cartplanner.app and we will delete it promptly.
